A few friends and I went bowling this weekend at Trukadero, a bowling arena, in wuse2, Abuja, just opposite House of Cubana and it was so much fun. One of the best things about Abuja city, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria is that the City never sleeps.
Being my first time at bowling I was so scared I’d redicule myself infront of everyone there. I didnt let that stop me as we paid for it and switched to the bowling shoes. In one corner was the two love- birds who were apparently out on a date, on the other side of the hall, was a pool table with a couple of guys playing pool.
We walked over to an empty tables and had our seats, waiting for the score board to state who bowls first… The instructor came around and walked us through the basics. At the third round, I already felt like a pro, with the lead score, I was kicking ass. One of the girls on the other hand, could not score a point!
It was so much fun and once we were done, we made a quick stop at Shirley’s for a snack and headed back home.
I guess the beauty of Abuja, is that the city never sleeps. Whoever you are, the church goer, party rider, movie freak or the lover of gardens and cool spots to hide; The federal capital territory of Nigeria offers so much more to the explorer.
