Hey, Guys! So this is a story all about how my eyeballs rolled all the way back. (I really hope you sang this line like the Fresh Prince of bel air theme song. If not then you know, boo you).

Anyways, I just wanted to share this with you guys cos I know for a fact that I’m not the only one who’s experienced this. Ever packed up the perfect suitcase and are proud of your skills? Only to get to the airport and have them ask you to unpack cos you put something where it shouldn’t be? *eyeroooollllllll*

To further worsen cramping your style (and clothes)  you have to repack on the spot! *eyerooolllllll*

Also by the time you’re done you realize you’re  hungry, irritated and undone. At this point you’ve rolled your eyes so hard so many times you might need to bump the side of your head to set them right again. I know this can be really annoying even though it’s necessary.

However,  there is actually a way around this that’s less annoying. It’ll save you a lot of time, money and eye rolling. I have tried out most of the stuff myself so I hope it works out for you too.

How to keep your eyes from falling out at the airport

So here are some ‘pro’ flying tips you can apply to stop  the above…

  • Arrive Early!!!

For some reason everyone always thinks they have ‘enough’ time to get to the airport and check in. In fact you might get to the airport with a lot of time left but the queuing, check in and other stuff makes the time go by quickly.

You really don’t wanna be that guy caught shouting “Upon I came here early o!!!” when you’re chasing the plane down the tarmac.(Jk)

Arriving early and making use of that time to sort your check in items is a wise move. I Make sure I take off  my jewelry, belt, keys and all that stuff and chuck them in my day bag that goes through the scanner. Also I  keep all electronic devices close by so I can get them in the scanner tray with ease.

Tip : Wear shoes you can take off with ease and put on with ease. Also please wear comfy clothes. If it’s pants or jeans that need a belt, do wear underwear or at least let them be snug enough to stay up after your belt comes off. Do not give off plumber vibes at the check in line!

  • The Backpack Hack

Travelling with a backpack for me, road, rail or air travel usually makes reaching stuff easy. Stuff like my gadgets, earphones , earplugs, gum and things I  don’t want tucked too far are packed in my back pack. I usually pick things too big for a purse but too small to be packed in my box or bag. This works for me so when asked to take out this or that it’s easier than looking for the keys to the lock and ruining my packing and also risking eye problems from rolling my eyes again.

However , if you’re a professional here’s what you can do. Probably heading straight to a meeting from the  airport and you don’t want to look out of place. You can opt for a messenger bag or a roll-away for a more professional look.

  • Mini Needs

It’s always safer to invest in travel sized bottles of your favorite products like lotion or perfume. More so if you have just a carry on with nowhere else to put your stuff. You definitely don’t want your favorite stuff tossed in the trash, do you? What I do is invest in 100ml bottles and pour in things I know I might not have readily available wherever I’m travelling to.

  • Ask the airport staff for the cheap chill spots within the premises. It’s actually cheaper to get stuff on the outside cos airport snacks are quite pricey. However if you do find yourself in such a situation, don’t be shy to ask around.

There are obviously some other hacks I didn’t mention in the post but I do hope these tips were super helpful.

Also, by all means feel free to share some hacks with me in the comment section. We love to hear from you!
